Panel #3

sense&sensi.png

Panel #3 deals with the question of accountability in the field of sensor technologies that  increasingly become part of our everyday life, but in turn get less understandable and accessible due to their complexity. Such complicated technological developments not only bring forth positive aspects, but also problems, including algorithmic bias, potential discriminatory treatments, expansive surveillance, and often exclusion of the public in their development.

Accountability, understood as both the ability and the obligation to respond to and be liable, is at the center of current debates about the potentially negative effects of artificial intelligence.

We invite you to get actively involved.
